October 12th Bug-Fixing Build

Oops…there was a critical bug in the previous update. I’m sorry about that! I’ve uploaded a new build where the issue is resolved.

To see a list of everything that was added/changed/fixed/improved in the latest update, please scroll down past this adorable drawing of Amai by unknown_ANN0!

Improvements

  • Previously, if a student tried to investigate a sound that came from the other side of a locked door, they would just walk into the locked door forever, unable to ever reach their destination. From now on, the game will check if a student is “stuck” and make the student end their investigation early if it’s apparent that they can’t reach their destination.
  • There are now 6 laptops in Classroom 2-2 to represent the 6 students who are enrolled at Akademi, will not be present for a few weeks, but still remotely attend classes. These laptops will disappear whenever the absent student returns to school (for example, Amai). (The graphics on the laptop screens may change in the future.)
  • From now on, if the player chooses to complete any of Kokona’s tutorials before starting their 202X playthrough, each completed tutorial will slightly boost Kokona’s friendship bar. Completing all 15 of Kokona’s tutorials will send her friendship bar to 100/100 before the player has even reached Monday of Week 1.
  • Due to the way Amai’s stockings were textured, the “seams” in her stockings were extremely obvious. Those seams should now be way less obvious, or perhaps even not noticeable at all.
  • Adjusted Amai’s “default face shape” so that her facial expressions shouldn’t look so “glitchy” anymore.
  • Nemesis’ portrait has been updated to reflect her new hair model.
  • Dora’s hair now has physics.

Fixes

  • Clubs are supposed to shut down if they have less than 5 members. However, Amai wasn’t being added to the Cooking Club’s clubmember count. This means that, if the player killed 1 member of the Cooking Club in Week 2, but left Amai alive, the Cooking Club would still shut down, even though there were still 5 other people remaining alive in the club. This bug has been fixed.
  • If the player was spotted carrying a cleaning product when it was not cleaning time, students would react to it, but would not speak the correct line of dialogue nor deduct reputation points. This bug has been fixed.
  • If the protagonist was splattered with blood at the title screen, then, when toggling the “censor blood” option at the Title Screen, the player would not see the blood be censored. This bug has been fixed.
  • If a student witnessed the player killing their loved one with an iron maiden, they would not change into the Heroic Persona, as they were supposed to. This bug has been fixed.
  • If the player aimed their camera at Nemesis during Mission Mode, the “Awareness” bar would go up, even though Nemesis wasn’t a student of the school. This bug has been fixed.
  • If the player picked up a severed limb contained within a tarp bag and then dropped the tarp bag on the ground while on the first floor of the school, the tarp bag would vanish. This bug has been fixed.
  • At Amai’s bake sale, the Cooking Club performed basic/default/generic idle animations instead of their personality-based idle animations. This bug has been fixed.
  • If Osana’s suitor witnessed Ayano kill Osana during Week 1, he would attack Ayano. However, he stopped doing this after Week 1. This bug has been fixed.
  • If the player picked up any type of bloody clothing (aside from a bloody school uniform), it would be impossible to drop it. This bug has been fixed.
  • Previously, male Sleuths would attempt to investigate the player if the player was inside of the girls’ shower building. This bug has been fixed.
  • If Osana’s stalker tried to apprehend the player, the player would automatically win the confrontation. This bug has been fixed.
  • If the player picked up a raincoat, gloves, or occult robe, they would be unable to drop it. This bug has been fixed.
  • It was possible for students to open locked doors under specific circumstances. This bug should be fixed.
