Hey there! Got a new build for you! I’ll just let you know in advance that it’s not a massive, earth-shattering, life-changing build; I just wanted to make sure that the latest build of the game contains all of the most recent bug fixes and whatnot.
Hey, guess what? October 10th, a few days ago, was Ryoba’s birthday! Happy Birthday, Ryoba! To read a list of everything that was added/changed/fixed/improved in the latest build, scroll down past this lovely birthday artwork of Ryoba by Seina!
Did you think I was done sharing birthday artwork? Nope! Please enjoy another birthday illustration by Yana!
Previously, if the player killed a rival by drowning her in the school pool, it was impossible to access the rival’s corpse and dispose of it. But, starting in this build…
…it is now possible to use a button prompt in the Pump Room to drain the pool and retrieve the rival’s corpse!
Presently, the rival’s corpse simply teleports to the player’s feet, and the pool automatically re-fills itself. This is not the intended final functionality of this feature, but that’s the way it’ll be for now.
Various characters who previously lacked a voice now have a voice!
Well, yes and no! I recently received a lot of new voice lines for various characters (Amai, Inkyu, and some other characters that you probably wouldn’t expect to be getting new voice lines), but their lines were delivered very close to the build deadline, so I didn’t actually have the time to include them in this build. They’ll probably be in the next build, though!
My animator had computer problems over the past 2 weeks, so no new animations got included in this build. However, now that his computer problems have been resolved, hopefully we’ll see some great animations in the next build!
A fan of the game going by the name of nichaanan20908 cosplayed as Kijiyose Aishi, one of Ayano’s ancestors from the 1800s!
I think she captured the character’s design very accurately! It always makes me super excited and happy when people show appreciation for the game’s more obscure characters!
And now, at the very bottom of the blog post, I’m going to sneak in a tiny bit of self-promotion!
It’s extremely rare for me to ever take a day off; my last break was over a month ago, back on August 28th. These days, I only take a day off when a new game comes out that I’ve been anticipating for a long time…and today is one of those days!
Later today, I plan to stream Pokémon Legends: Z-A! I ordered the physical version of the game, and I plan to stream it as soon as my copy arrives. That might be as early as 2:00 PM in the PST timezone. (If the game doesn’t arrive until super late in the day, then, instead of streaming it today, I’ll simply stream it tomorrow, instead.) If you’re interested, you’re welcome to visit my Kick stream at https://kick.com/yanderedev – I hope to see you there!
