January 14th Bug-Fixing Build

Shoot – I spoke too soon. There were still a couple of noteworthy problems lingering in the game, so I’ve prepared a new build with those issues addressed.

To read a list of everything that got fixed, scroll down past this very, very cute drawing of Ui Tunesu by eeennnnenen!

Improvements

  • The character limit of the “Student Profile” label has been expanded from 100 to 150 so that you can write longer profiles for your custom characters.

Fixes

  • Previously, Custom Mode rivals would use the 1980s Mode rivals’ tasks. This was severely out-of-character for some players’ custom rivals. Implementing a “design your own task” feature would take a tremendous amount of engineering work, so I can’t promise that such a feature will ever come to the game; However, I’d like to implement the ability to let the player decide which of the “1980s Mode Generic tasks” a rival uses. This feature isn’t in the game yet, but, for now, as progress towards the eventual implementation of that feature, I’ve set it up so that Custom Mode rivals now use generic tasks instead of the 1980s Mode rivals’ tasks.
  • In Custom Mode, during the “Betray” cutscene where you see your rival tied to a chair in your basement, you would see 1980s Mode rival hair on the girl, instead of your custom rival hair. From now on, you will see a hood over the character’s head, completely covering their hair and face.
  • In Custom Mode, if the player designed a female student who used a bully hairstyle but not the default hair texture, then kidnapped that girl, the girl’s skin would be two different colors in the basement. This bug has been fixed.
  • Fixed bug that would cause a male student’s face to turn solid white after sitting down on a bench with his girlfriend. (His “blushing” texture had been replaced with a solid white texture.)
  • If the player entered the “Alternate Timeline” and then tried to pause and exit to the main menu before throwing a stink bomb at Ui Tunesu, the game would softlock. This bug has been fixed.
  • Fixed bug that would cause a laughing sound effect to play and loop endlessly if the player tapped the laugh button while the “Senpai reacts to note” window was onscreen.
  • If the player closed the game during one of Ryoba’s monologue cutscenes, the game would send them to the end of the next week upon reloading. This bug has been fixed.
  • In Custom Mode, on the Calendar screen, the “Stats” screen was displaying Ryoba’s name instead of the name of your custom protagonist. This bug has been fixed.
  • Sakyu Basu’s ring was appearing on the finger of any female character featured in the “character wakes up tied to chair” cutscene. This bug has been fixed.
  • Fixed bug that permitted the player to select “Fan” or “Pool” as a rival’s canon elimination in Custom Mode. (These methods are unavailable in that mode.
  • Fixed bug that caused 1980s Mode student portraits to display instead of Custom Mode student portraits when viewing the “Task List” in Custom Mode.
  • Fixed bug that could result in the protagonist’s uniform turning solid white if “None” was selected for their stockings.
  • Fixed bug that was preventing the protagonist from removing their loose socks when taking a shower.
